Why do some guys ask if you're married, and then when you ask why, they say they just want to know?
i'm black, and i only notice this of black guys. they, out of the blue, ask me if i'm married, and when i ask them why they wanna know, they say "i just want to know" or something to that affect. i never get that from white men.
they just ask me out of the blue in a normal conversation not related to dating.

Because their interested in you! But, men wont come out and say it directly, Unless they know for sure they have a shot or they got alot of guts. Because they dont want their egos to be hurt, so their way of asking is saying: are you married?

Girl....I am so glad that you asked this question!! Seriously, because I've been asked that question like 3 times in the past 2 days while I was at work...."hey you married" "why you not married" "your boyfriend ain't married you yet" I'm like what is the freakin deal?
I'm thinking am I suppose to be married right now? Is something wrong with me NOT being married?
I don't know.

Maybe they simply want to know if you are available. I have no idea about the Black guy/ White guy thing!

some husbands can get real jealous. Maybe he just wants to make sure he's safe talkin to you. It doesn't really have to mean that he's hitting on you, but maybe he could be. Just answer and see what happens.

They want to know if you are available. If you are married, why would you deny it?
