Help with a math problem involving fluid ounces please. Are you smarter than a fifth grader?

I have to make mixture from a recipe that calls for:

46 ounces of one ingredient and 18 ounces of another...,

(making a total of one gallon)

But I only have 4 ounces of the second ingredient.

How many ounces of the first ingredient do I use?

    = (4[46])/18

    = 184/18

    = (184/2)/(18/2)

    = 92/9 or 10 2/9

Answer: 10 2/9 ounces of the 1st ingredient
