Have you seen Tony Stewarts commercials yet?

He's already advertising for Chevrolet, and he looks pretty motivated. Do you think the switch to Chevrolet, is going to make Tony win more races in 2009?

as a longtime fan of tony(anthony stuart...tony stewart....get it?), i have noticed a trend: whenever he jumps in a new car, he has a career-changing year: 1996 indy car champion, 1999 first nascar rookie to win 3 races, 2002 and 2005 championships, 2003 arguably he mellowed out quite a bit, 2008 was the worst luck he's ever had

I think that this will be a big year for tony in nationwide series and others, but it will take some time(maybe a year or two) for Stewart-Haas Racing to climb the ladder. However, a precedent has been set by Team Red Bull that within just a year a team can go from missing races left and right to contending for wins on a weekly basis, so i have faith that Stewart and Newman will both find their way back to victory lane with time

Well I have been watching a lot of DVD movies so I have not seen the new commercial, but I heard he (Tony) looks happier and has gotten even pudgier.

I think by the end of 09 we will see him in commercials that really show him genuinely happy, meaning he is enjoying racing and not stressed about being in a Toyota & being under someone still (team owner though him and Gibbs got along.) I remember he looked unhappy in the commercial (Toyota) when the cars were remote controlled and were chasing him, though thinking about it, I would not be too happy if I had a remote control car chasing me.

I will now watch for the new Tony commercials and he will be much happier next year. He will get a chance to build part of his own (I know shared name) team.

Good luck Tony and yes a switch to chevy will make him happier and hopefully win more races!

For the amount of money that Tony receives in support from Chevrolet (they also sponsor his USAC midget/sprint car teams), I would be motivated too!

I have not seen the commercials yet.

If he doesnt win more races in 2009, he will find a way to do so in the coming years. They will have some kinks to work out of the previously unsuccessful team to meet Tony's standards. If he doesnt get many/any wins, he will be the most successful owner/driver multi car operation that has debuted in years...

I'm pretty sure one of the prime reasons Tony left Gibbs was because of Toyota. Tony loves Chevy and doesn't want to race a Toyota. (he still wants to win in one, just not race in one) he loves chevrolets.

"I'm back with Team Chevy, where I belong"

Well I haven't seen any TV commercials but I have seen some online ads concerning it. He sure makes it seem that the Chevy/Toyota thing was a big part of him leaving JGR. "I'm coming home to Chevy".

I think it'll help seeing as he clearly has a better feeling towards them than Toyota.

I have not seen the new commercials yet.

I think putting Tony back in Chevy's will re-ignite his career. Let's face it, when he went to Toyota's, he started a downhill slide.

Source(s): But I digest...... Just my 2 cents.
  • yes I sure do. he's happy to be back in a chevy and that has to do something for his morale. Though I do believe he did give it his best in the Toyota he seems happier now...like a burden lifted.
