What is secondary education like OUTSIDE of the U.S.?

I'd love to hear from students and teachers what high school (or its equivalent) is like in other countries. Information like:

What do you study?

Art, music, drama included? Other subjects?

How many years to graduate?

Graduation tests or class test or something else?

Classes/Support for special education/learning challenged students?

Free or pay? How much?

Textbooks or computers or something else?

Disciplinary approach and policies?

School day and school year length - any vacations?

What's in a usually in classroom?

...and anything else that would be interesting. I'd like to learn about the many ways young people learn world-wide.

Thanks!

My father said that even though I am in Advanced Placement, in China, he probably learned all of that stuff in primary school.

Chinese education seems to be much more productive than our primary schools.
