If you go to any site other than one put up by the artist and download a song it is STEALING. STEALING is UNETHICAL no matter how anyone tries to rationalize it.
The only other type of music that you can download that is legal is what is known as public domain.
I believe anybody that downloads music without the blessings of the artist needs to be whipped until they bleed.

limewire pays for the music downloaded with advertising. So it is both legal and ethical
