Why does the ghost whisperer never repeat exactly what the ghost say to their relatives?

If the ghost tells her (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to tell their family member that they loved them. She tells the family member something live They will always miss you!!!! Did I miss a show that ever explained this?

I don't know what happened but I have watched this show from day one and she used to tell the family word for word what the ghost would want to say to their loved ones.

I don't know if the producers of the show thought it took too much time to repeat everything or what but I did noticed the change I just can't remember when it changed.

When this show was new and Melinda had helped a ghost and it was time for them to cross over, they would actually show a beam of light and you would see the ghost walking into it. Which I thought was cool and it made me cry.

Now when it is time for them to cross over they just turn around walk a few feet and disappear, which sucks. LOL.

They killed off her husband but had his spirit or ghost jump into another body so that to Melinda he looks like Jim, but when he looks into a mirror it's another person's face we see.

I wish the producers would leave this show like it was. They are always making changes which, IMO, does not make the show better.

I guess paraphrasing just makes it easier to get the ghosts point across

Because, they should read between the lines...

ACTION: Tell her I love her and I'm sorry for the pain I've caused

Jennifer repeats: He says he never meant to hurt you.

lol. I hate it to sometimes, but that is how it goes.

i'm fairly certain the reason for this is that as the audience ( us ) already heard it, we don't need to hear it again. i think thats the only reason. if we were not present, she might paraphrase less
