dvd burner... can't burn dvd...?

my burner only can burn cd..when burn dvd.. it's error.

Can some1 help me why ? I'm using Nero & Roxio.

    Hi,

    please do this :-

    go to your desktop and then press "windows + E" this will take you into windows explorer, then open My computer and you should see

    DVD-RW Drive D:\ , if you don;t you only have a CD burner not a DVD burner,

    hope this helps you,

    P.S and sorry if you already have checked your burner type, but i had to ask.

    make sure you using the right disk -R or +Rs

    is it a -R or a +R drive or does it do both... make sure you don't have a bad batch of DVDs... I had some from Memores before... they replaced them
