    Admiral Sureesh Mehta,PVSM, AVSM, ADC,Chief of the Naval Staff.You're a nutter if you think he's responsible.The govt. should have given orders to bomb the terrorist camps as soon as they found out who they were instead of asking Pak. govt. permission.

    Nobody holds that rank at this time. The highest ranking Admiral in the Navy is Admiral Michael Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Admiral Gary Roughead is the current Chief of Naval Operations.

    George Dewey was the only person who ever held the rank of Admiral of the Navy.
