My intreprtation of this is that this person's face was washed with his own tears. He didn't have to use rain or running water, life's tears cleaned his face, his towel wasn't a towel, it was strength, gumption, perserverance. Maybe I'm crazy, but that's what I got out of it. WIsh you'd let me know how I did. Thanks.
