concentration..................?
A bottle of wine contains 15.5% ethanol by volume. The density of ethanol (C2H5OH) is 0.789 g/cm3. Calculate the concentration of ethanol in wine in terms of mass percent
first i would multiply 15.5 by .789 to get the mass. (12.2295g)
we have to assume there's 100ml of the total solution
then what do i do?

density of water = 1 g/mL
so 100 mL of water is 100 g
divide the mass of ethanol by 100 g to get mass percent of ethanol to water.
the mass percent is 12.2%

You can convert it at this website.
http://www.etoolsage.com/converter/consistency.asp...
You need covert the volume-volume percentage to mass-volume percentage.
Select volume-volume percentage on the left hand side,enter 15.5 in Concentration of solution field and enter 0.1(100ml) in The amount of solution field.
Select mass-volume percentage on the right hand side.
Enter 0.789 in the density of solute field on the middle box.
Click "calculate" button at the bottom,then you'll get 12.2295g in the The amount of solute field on the right hand side.

C = 10 * p * d
C = 10 * 15,5 * 0,789
C = 122,295 g/L
