People say the opposite of black is white.. I would think the opposite of black is yellow.. what do you think?

I think its white, whered you get yellow??

Black and White seem like opposites to me.

I think this is an old mentatlity and majority of Americians define people as polar opposites based upon their character rather than their race. Globally I believe Americians are the "something in the middle" because we are a mixture of so many cultures that our characteristics are a blend of so many great and not so great behaviors of societies all over the world (and perhaps beyond). In America "What's race got to do with it?" That's what many fellow Americians talk about cher. Have a nice day.

the opposite of black is white

All colours are made up of waves in the visible spectrum. When there is an absence of all colour you are left with black. The opposite of this event is when all the colours in the spectrum are present and the result is...white.

whaaat it can't be yellow because black is a pure colour and white is a pure colour...

yellow is made from brown and orange...

so yellow can't be the opposite of black becausse it's not a primary colour

black is all the colors combined, white is a lack of color basically...

White, The color of crystal clear focus .Where as black is just that...black ,darkness ...nothingness.I'm comparing Morning to night...And I love to watch the sun rise :)

black is the absorption of all colors.

white is the absense of color.
