You never want to seem desperate with a guy first off. If they know that you are overally obsessed and desperate, most likely, you'll scare them away. Do you try to be his friend when you're flirting or are you more focused on if you were to ask him out? Maybe if you act like his friend, you won't get so flustered. You can still flirt, just act natural. And don't get jealous. That is probably why he is nervous around you. Well keep in mind that he is not the only guy out there. If you have known him for this long and nothing has happened you might have to except the fact that nothing will. I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but i suggest you go out with other guys for fun nothing has to be serious unless you remit your feelings for this other guy. You never know if this might make him a little jealous and realize that he may have to "stake a claim" on you and ask you out. However, this should not be your reason for going out with other guys. Also it helps to focus on this guys flaws anything and everything! Remember to keep a good attitude because desperate is not an attractive trait.
