Vatican II was the biggest own goal the Catholic Church ever scored and only served to alienate millions of Catholics.
I cannot tolerate laymen/women assisting the priest with the Mass, distributing communion and taking part in readings etc, it is entirely baseless and uncalled for and weakens the Church.
That said the Novo Ordo Mass is not that bad provided it is offered efficiently but it rarely if ever is.
Here is a link to my parish http://eglisesaintgeorges.over-blog.org/pages/Accu... if you would like to see a proper Catholic church that is devoted entirely to the Gregorian (Latin) Mass.
Oh and I am not French. My wife is and we live here in Lyon.

It is sad that the new Novus ordo Mass was instituted, for the Latin rite was very beautiful and reverent. We have lost some of the sacred rite that the Latin rite had given us for worship. who goes to vespers any more, where do they have vespers. Do any of us even know what vespers are? It has been completely taken away from the services the church provided for worship. What about Benediction, How many times a year do they have Benediction. It use to be at least once a week years ago. What about the stations of the Cross, we only get this during lent now and only some churches provide this. Since Vatican II we have lost oh so many beautiful forms of worship. the question is why? Now when they bless you throats on the feast of St Blaise they hold the candles up in the air and do a group blessing. Pretty soon when Ash Wednesday comes around, they will put big fans in front of everybody and blow the ashes at us. Have we lost something in our way of worship? You bet we have and some of these beautiful rites should be put back into our lives. They were given for a reason, to give us blessings and graces. No more short cuts in our faith. God bless you, Merry Christmas!

It was one step along the road of giving the Church back to the people rather than a priesthood.
