how long to thaw 20-22lb turkey?
took the turkey out of the freezer and put it in the fridge. How long should I wait for it to thaw? not in a big hurry, don't have a day planned to cook it, just need to know how long to wait before I cook it.

It usually takes mine about 4 days for a 15 lb turkey. There is not a lot of people opening and closing the refrigerator door. If there were I would guess it could be about 3 days. So I would say it would probably take about 4-5 days. If it is still icy in the center you could put it in a sink full of water for a little while before cooking.

Well I always put in in the sink with cold water and a hand towel soaked in water. Leave it for 8 hours then leave in the fridge overnight and it would be fine to cook the next day.
