Ex: master's degree or equivalent - the equivalent is law graduate.
or major in accounting or any 4 year course. in commerce. etc.

it means it is consider to be equal to graduate in all manner i.e recruitment,entrance exam e.t.c
like DOEACC 'B' level(equivalent to M.C.A)
that means if some one cleared DOEACC 'B' level can use it anywhere where M.C.A degree is required.
