Computer Science & Web Design Education: Where do I start?

I've graduated with a random BA in liberal arts, and I need to focus more on cs related material. Namely, I need to learn a lot about CSS, XHTML, & XML docs & web development. How would you recommend I go about this?

What types of courses should I look into taking? Where do I find these courses? Good books on these subjects for beginners?

How did you learn about these subjects?

I teach such courses, from ten-session evening classes in basic HTML, to HND and Foundation Degrees. Ask for a prospectus from your local FE college.
