Bipolar and physical pain?

I suffer from Bipolar disorder and recently have endured large amounts of physical pain with no obvious cause, headaches, frequent stomache aches, bone pain and things of that nature.

I'm currently looking into getting medicated for my Bipolar disorder but I'm curious as to if the medication will lessen the physical pain as well or if I should look into a totally seperate treatment for it.

Psychological imbalances and disorders can manifest as physical pain and there are hundreds of studies to back this up. Your first step should be to get treated for your Bipolar disorder and see if that lessens or eliminates your physical symptoms. The chances are good that it will since you state you have had no obvious trauma that would be causing the pain that you are feeling. It may take a few weeks after starting the medications before you notice a decrease in physical pain.

There are so many studies that have been published that prove psychological disorders and stress can cause physical pain or make preexisting pain worse, i.e., a person who has fibromyalgia going through a very stressful event could have a flair up of their symptoms or an increase in pain. Once the stress has resolved, their pain lessens again. Please see a doctor about your condition and get the proper treatment. I am sure that it will help you with your physical symptoms.
