In Japan address of Chome/Banchi system is usual. It is not like lot numbers on each street

Each town has several blocks in the area such as Konan 1-Chome, 2-Chome, 3-Chome so on upto 9-Chome if necessary and each Chome(large block) has smaller block such as 1-Ban to some more numbers Ban in order. Then, each Ban block has also smallest block called goh which is usually equal to indivial house lot.

In Japan, the street name has often no relation with the residential address. Most of the streets have no name actually.
