Do Atheists celebrate Christmas?

If yes then why? (Because Christians celebrate it because of the birth of Jesus Christ. So I'm wondering what's your reason. =) Peace to all and Merry Christmas)

Christmas has taken a turn down the left road towards gross commercialism and materialistic perspectives. I don't celebrate Christmas for the birth of Jesus, I use it as a time to spend time with loved ones (friends and family), catch up, enjoy a good meal, and just enjoy each other's company. For others it's about free gifts, or whatever their reason should happen to be.

Well Christians say they celebrate the birth of Jesus, but what does Santa or Christmas trees or roast turkey have to do with Jesus. Many Atheists like myself do exactly the same as you at Christmas. The only difference being we are not thinking about, or praying to Jesus. When you look at Christmas closely there is very little about it that Atheists can't partake in. I love Christmas because of these things, and in England it has basically become a secular holiday anyway, no one goes to mass on Christmas any more.

    Happy Christmas :)
