What would be some great games for a 4 year old to learn to play on nintendo ds. This is her 1st handheld?

I am getting my 4 year old a DS for the holidays because her sister has one however I do not think she could play the games her sister plays because she is just a beginner so I am looking for anyone's advise on the most simple DS games for a 4 year old beginner

Thanks

mario kart is good because it is very simple to play and it would be fun for your 2 daughters to play together on it facing eachother. another good game is nintendogs because it is very interactive, you get to speak into the mic and actually pretend you have dog in front of you. both games are good choices.

I'm sorry I cannot answer your question as we don't have a DS yet. We are getting one for my 8 yr old for Christmas. I haven't looked into all of the games yet. We only got him 2 new ones because he has games from his Gameboy Advanced that will work in the DS.

But I am here to give you some advice.

Make sure you get whatever warranty or extended warranty the store offers, where you buy it.

We got ours from Gamestop and their warranty covers everything (like getting wet etc...) EXCEPT for the thing snapping in half at the hinge. However, this is a common thing that can happen with them. So make sure you supervise your 4 yr old while she is playing it, so you can make sure she's not too rough on it.

Sorry I didn't answer your question. But I hope you will find the advice useful anyway.

Nintendogs would probably be a good one for her. There are lots of little nothing-games for younger kids that don't have the hand-eye coordination yet to play real games.
