If the television has composite inputs (yellow, white, red) and the digital converter box you purchase has the same kind of inputs you should still be able to use it.

You would have to put your television on the aux channel(or whatever it is named for the composite inputs) and use the tuner built into the composite box.

You're converter box should have an RCA (Yellow White Red) connection on the back. You can use that instead of your regular coaxial (Screw in cable) that you would usually use. This will improve picture and sound quality.

You do still need an antennae though. Attach the antennae to your converter box, then send a connection between the RCA out connection on the box to the RCA in on the television. If your converter box does not support an RCA connection, you may need to get a different one.

Note: Converter box is only required if you are getting an antennae signal. If you are currently using a wall set-up from a cable company, you will need their digital box.

PS. You should already be receiving a digital signal already. It has better picture quality than your current analog signal. I would start using it now.

Have your local tv repair guy fix the jack.
