Although the situation must be frustrating and tiring you cannot lose sight of priorities. Family comes first. Even when they are annoying and cheap and cost you lots of money after all is sad and done she is your sister. Forget what the law says, all the uninsured stuff is secondary however unfortunate it may be. At the end of the day she is your sister and you should try establishing a wonderful relationship with her first and foremost and see if she doesnt offer more help then. Family comes first family comes first family comes first. forget money, family comes first!

Wow....where do I start....I think it's your fault (and against the law) for having a car and driving without insurance.

Any issues that come of that are YOUR responsibility and no one else's. You need to look in a mirror and take responsibility.

Nice family and good luck with your 'sista', you are going to need it.

    1. You're an adult your parents are wise for not contributing

    2. If you have a vehicle you need insurance

    3. Don't let friends convince you to do something you know you shouldn't do.

    4. How are you paying for the car she hit, that should be your priority

If the car WAS insured (by the way, auto insurance isn't required in every state) it would be YOUR insurance paying for the damage. Therefore, YOU are responsible for the damage. You have no legal recourse.

    That said, learn to spell.

what are you suing for....you didn't drive without insurance she did....you can't be arrested....you are not liable for the damages for the guys medical bills or damage to his car ; she is...you can't be sued...i can only assume the car was a piece of crap and not worthy of full coverage so the damage to your car is minimal and did not decrease in value. you have no case. in fact you should pay her $500.oo for education and teaching you a valuable lesson.

You mean sister? Sorry, but you took all responsibility when you let her drive your car. Convinced you? No one makes you do anything that you don't want to do.

Well number one,it's your fault for not having insurance...not to mention it is against the law not to. So my guess would be NO.

I doubt that you would ever get any money out of her. You are partly at fault for not having insurance.

No. You should not let ANYONE, including yourself, drive an uninsured car.

Only if you can sue her for having a stupid sister.
