    it's just fat in the liver - hence the name.

    most commonly is seen in diabetics and in alcoholics.

    but there are other conditions that cause it as well.

    generally it is harmless, but in severe cases can cause scarring of the liver, which is cirrhosis.

    therefor if the condition is found, it is best to stay away from alcohol, and to control diabetes as much as possible.

    Fatty liver is is a reversible condition where large vacuoles of triglyceride fat accumulate in liver cells via the process of steatosis. Despite having multiple causes, fatty liver can be considered a single disease that occurs worldwide in those with excessive alcohol intake and those who are obese It is reversible, and not necessarily terminal
