Beef is cheaper than almost any of the other kinds of meat that taste even vaguely like beef; so unless you buy your take-out from a restaurant determined to spend themselves out of business, it's beef!

(BTW...if you were concerned about it being, perhaps, cat-meat...don't be, cat tastes just like cat, and nothing like beef!)

You can't actually determine that w/out knowing what some of the other items your thinking about taste like.

Have you ever been in a place + thought "This isn't chicken-beef or pork"?

    You prob have.

I spent some time in Japan + Korea so let me tell you, I found dog to be excellent not to mention I can tell the diff of ??? what was that ??

Up to a certain point, I am pretty sure I had cat but who knows?

Mexico is pretty good about serving some diff stuff-who is to say what is right or wrong to serve? I just want honesty + that's all- if I order something I want it to be what I ordered / whether it be horse-cat-dog-rat or whatever

Usually, it is flank. Chinese restaurants don't use fillet mignon or even strip.

There are lots of Chinese restaurants in United States, I have never heard of even one restaurant in 40 years that had substituted beef with anything else. Its just not done. Customers are very smart. They will know and tell others, before you know it the restaurant will close

Don't worry it really is beef.

Ask the chef. in most cases, especially in clean, popular restaurants, the something else is likely to be a meat substitute made of soy, which is better for you anyway. There are truth in advertising laws in effect in the US, and beef is not an item that costs so much to purchase that someone would substitute something for it.

Well, beef is dirt cheap, as others have pointed out, and it wouldn't make much sense to give you some sort of mystery meat.

I'm reasonably sure that it is illegal to serve people meat not designed for human consumption as well, including animals that are illegal to consume as food.

i don't have beef with every physique, yet to advance your conflict rap skills (Kool Moe Dee invented it), you ought to diss human beings. believe me no person on right here have been given beef with different human beings, they only dissing one yet another. beef many times is composed of protecting your loved ones.

Because it is only ignorance that would lead a person to believe that a restaurant Chinese or otherwise would serve cat or dog or what ever meat you believe they would serve. Let us get beyond strerotypes. Let us use our brains.

    Source(s): I am serious.
