Served over rice is one of our favorites from long ago. I haven't fixed it in years. cook rice, let it cool down so it won't stick together but if you use boxed rice it won't stick together. Anyway, we would use a can of cream of mushroom soup, add onions, peas, and mushrooms. Oops, don't use the whole can of soup, use 1/4 of it. Put in a saucepan and heat on med. heat, until simmering, not boiling.Turn of heat. Add to rice and mix in french fried onions, then place in casserole dish. Add more french fried onions on top, place in the oven, 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until it bubbles, done. One of our favorites is to add shredded cheddar cheese mixed in as well, optional, but is good.

Just steam them and add REAL butter and a little sea or Kosher salt. Be sure not to overcook them..... You might want to saute the sliced mushrooms first though, and add them in later
