Can you make rum balls using rum extract instead of rum?

How much would you use, and would you just use water for the "rum" part, along with the extract? Thanks!

Yes, you could use extract. Depending on what your other ingredients are, you might want to substitute orange or apple juice..... I wouldn't use more than 1 tsp extract, since it's pretty strong

The answer is yes 1 tsp. rum extract. I did this one year when I was still working and several people didn't believe me when I said there was no real rum in them.

The rum extract wouldn't pack the same alcoholic punch that people go for, or would it?

You would need enough moisture to hold the dry ingredients together, though. I can see why you are thinking of water.
