Why do many "askers" forget or disregard mentioning the model year of their car?
Answerers could have an easier time in helping "askers" and at the same time be of more help to them if only more relevant data like the year of the car giving them a problem is mentioned.
This is particularly prevalent in the BMW forum.

because they know nothing about cars and think it doesn't matter.

When the person asks their question, they are probably in search of an answer as soon as possible and in a rush they write what their problem is and forget that the people answering the questions arent mind readers. I have done it myself, asked a question withought giving background information because i was stressed and wanted to know something relly quick. We just need to think a bit when purtting our question together that the person answering it needs to know all the info for the whole problem then the anser can be more accurate.
Hope that helps :D

That's the least of the problem. Some ask questions which make absolutely no sense, grammatically. But don't try to point it out to them. I have received a couple of violation notices for observing that the grammar used made it impossible to provide an answer.
