My boyfriend and I are going to an izakaya for dinner tonight. We're in America, but this is supposed to be a pretty authentic place. We've never been to one before. It'll be after work, and we're gonna be hungry. How many plates of food should we get? Thanks!

Start out with 6 - they're appetizer portions that you share. You can always order more. You will know by the 4th plate if you need to order another dish.
