Anyone else sick of Speed TV?

I agree with you 100%. 5 years ago Speed was all about racing wether it was reruns or remote control boats. Now they have turned into the stupid reality crap like every other channel. Even during race season there is no racing on during prime time except for truck racing.

I feel the same way. There is so much from Nascar that we miss, cause they never show it, what goes on in the pits, the garage areas, all kinds of things. Then there is always drag racing, I luv drag racing but when it's on the same time as a Nascar race, I don't watch it. What's wrong with Back in the Day, the movies about Senior, highlights from the NHRA, anything race related instead of the crap they have on there now. Their whole venue has changed, Speed is about cars, not reality B/S. JMHO

Yeah I'm tired of Speed TV, I want a Nascar channel that does nothing but show Nascar type shows the entire day, not some crap like Unique Whips, Pinks, Pass Time, so on and so forth. I want to see Nascar shows darn it, even if it is the offseason.

The marathon started out ok but they could do other stuff because it's getting old. They have alot of drifting on which is growing on me.

Unique Whips is...well... I just want to slap Will Castro upside the head anymore. It's the same boring mods to every car now. Escalade= stutz grill, tinted windows, stereo, stupid looking 22"s. Impala= stutz grill, tinted windows, stereo, stupid looking 22"s. It's always the same. Will Castro caters to rich idiots who know nothing about cars. Period. Every episode includes him bitching at his employees because they don't work 97 hours a week and his 2 famous catch phrases..."that looks hot" and "at the end of the day".

Now he's moving operations to Miami. I foresee him becoming a coke head and his ugly wife leaving him.

Yes, I have seen Pinks, Pass Time so many times and the same ones again and again. I have been watching a little bit of Figure 8 racing that I recorded. Speed channel needs to get some new stuff on it.

I feel your pain, I'm so sick of Pinks, I've seen all of them, and Unique Whips seen all of them also, theres lot of racing they could do re-runs of. I saw the the Super V8's also that was great. But I'm glad my remote has fresh batteries and its the beginning of College Football bowl games, and theres still the NFL. Yes, they could show some Back in the Day so some of the young ones on Y/A's can see some of the best racing ever in Nascar.

The reason that they show all of those shows is because they draw people and ad dollars.

The reason I had Speed to begin with is for the NASCAR,F1 and the other racing. Back in the Day was great (I got the DVD), I wish that they would show classic NASCAR races. (That is one reason I love the NASCAR channel on Sirus, they re-broadcast the radio versions on races.)

That is the reason that I dumped Speed.

But times change and the powers there think that those other shows will bring in the money. I am old enough to remember when MTV started (I was in Junior High School) and all they showed was music videos, when was the last time that MTV showed videos for most of the day.

I agree. I like Pinks and Pass TIme, but like it was previously noted they keep showing re-runs. I think I've seen them all at least twice now. As for Livin the Low LIfe.. YUCK!! That female just grosses me out. She looks like a... well it rhymes with mutt. Who really watches that crap?

Yeah - they should feature something like "Greatest Moments in NASCAR", or the "History of NASCAR" for those folks just joining the sport to understand the history of the sport. Plus it would be nice to see old footage of racing.

Wedge, I haven't watched Speed since the season ended...no need to. So yeah, I am with ya.....hate all their useless reruns. I guess everyone's on vacation???? I won't watch again until there is something worth watchin'. Great question I agree 100%. Just an opinion as always.

Yep, me too. Great question. Here is what I think they should do. Take a fan poll of the best 10 races of the year. Then start showing those 10 races on Sunday afternoons, counting down to the fan favorite best race of the year to be shown on the Sunday before the Daytona 500. Then it give us that are having withdrawls a fix, it gives SPEED good programing and most of all it gets us all even more pumped up for the Daytona 500.
