an exact bid of , I think it was 24,743. The odds seem so enormous. how could he have guessed a number like that. Did he cheat, was it staged, is he psychic, or was it just truly a highly lucky though unlikely guess?

I don't know what to think about that. I've been hearing some things about how rigged the game shows really are......like people audition for the Price is Right.....they are not just a random studio audience where it is the luck of the draw that your name is called etc.
I wouldn't put anything past them.

With a bid like that, I would have to wonder. The odds of that are like those of winning the lottery.
