Just received a pizza with green mold looking crust...?
I called the Pizza place and they said it was a new soy based oil in their dough that causes the green color in the crust. ANyone else every heard of this?
Well, actually I took the pizza back and got my money back. Thanks for all the feedback...still curious about his explanantion..I also saved one piece..not sure what I am going to do with it....maybe take it to the local food inspection authorities and let them tell me what it is.
Oh, and yes Jessica, it is true. Not sure about the people that found the ladies pinky finger though.........
Oh, sorry Judith I reread your answer, thought you said you found a ladies pinky finger as well as a cockroach, a cockroach is totally believable! Yuck!

Count you lucky stars! Last night we ordered 3 pizza, one with mushrooms, one daughter picks hers off, well one of the mushrooms was a cooked roach about the size of the nail on a womans pinky finger. Talk about never order pizza again, I'm having trouble looking at a mushroom!

Even if that WERE true (which, I dunno... doesnt sound right to me!), you should totally call back the pizza place and say this is simply not right and that you want the guy to come back and get that icky pizza because its not satisfactory, whether its soy or mould. You want a new pizza or your money back, and if they refuse, remind them how powerful word of mouth is and that you will be letting everyone in the neighbourhood know there food is a**.

Never heard of that. The closest thing to green I've ever seen in a crust is pesto. Try calling another branch directly and see if you get the same answer.

um...well my first instinct when i see a pizza with green moldy stuff on the crust is not eat it and call them back.
and if they gave me that answer...i woudn't stop it there...cuz you're not going to eat it anyways. so why not make them give you a new one for free. and if that one turns out green and moldy too..i might think about ordering chinese or something.
