Dog shedding in the southern hemisphere?

I have a question I can not find the answer to. I have a Shelti and she sheds about once a year right before summer. Her undercoat sheds off in anticipation for warmer weather.

My question is, what would happen if I took her to the southern hemisphere? Would her shedding cycle adapt?

yes. As much because of the sunlight difference as the weather.
