i have never had them before and i wanted a new look for the holiday season and wondered if this was a good or bad idea?

You can go to a salon and have them put on..they last about a month.
A bit more expensive, but more natural looking.
IF you decide to go the "do it yourself route" Practice first and get the individual lashes instead of the full ones.
They are easy to take off..Ponds cold cream.
