If if my mom has had a brain tumor for 15yr what are the chances its cancerous?
My mom found out yesterday morning she as a brain tumor and its been there for over 15yrs. if its been there for that long what are the chances its cancerous?

Slim chance that it is cancerous. If it was they would have found more in different parts of her body. (15 yrs is a long time for cancer not to spread) The negative though is that it can effect certain bodily functions depending on where it is in the brain. Locations in the brain also could rule out surgery and if the doctor finds it effecting her negatively they might put her on chemo to shrink or destroy it. The best you can do during chemo is love her and help her out as she will not be herself.

I know next to nothing about anyting medical, but I'd think that if it's been there 15 years it is probably not cancerous. I'll say an extra prayer for her.
