How much money did you spend at the pet store when you got your first parakeet/budgie?

I personally spent ALOT.

First bird was about 25$

Second was 30$ , got 2 cages for 60$ off kijiji , food 10-20$, toys 50+$ , bought another cage last week 150 - 38x18x63 in inches,

perches 20$ ,

Please please please don't buy a cage off a high pet store they sell way too expensively and you end up blowing 70+ for a cage that is even too small for finches.

Everytime i went to the petstore i spent atleast 50+ .

$0. I bought my cage from someone on CL and got all my parakeet fro local breeder.

I spend about $20 for almost new cage 34 by 24 by 24 cage. And the breeder charged by $10 for each parakeet.
