1) Smoke On The Water - Deep Purplease
2) Seven Nation Army - White Strips
3) Highway To Hell - AC/DC
4) Wonderwall - Oasis
5) Iron Man - Black Sabbath
6) Paranoid - Black Sabbath
7) Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
8) James Bond Theme
9) Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream
10) Slither - Velvet Revolver.
Some of these are harder than the others. if I were you I'd start with the James Bond Theme.
Also practise this lick to build speed:
e-------------------------
b--7---------------------
g-----7---9-----7----9
d-------8-----7-----8--

Don't learn Smoke on the Water, it is way too over-played. If you learn all the basic open chords you can play lots of songs, such as:
Sweet Home Alabama - Chords (D-C9-G)
Boulevard of Broken dreams - Chords (E Minor-G-D-A)
It really depends what music you like.
Just search songs on www.ultimate-guitar.com
Hope this helps.

The easiest song I can think of would be Tom Petty's 'Free Fallin'. It consists of three chords:
D, Dsus, Asus
Just learn when to play which chords, and you're good to go! The source includes the lyrics, chords, and chord diagrams.
