When someone says 'picture this'...?

When explaining things, someone will often say 'well picture this...' Personally, when I 'picture' things, it's vague and abstract and not really a picture at all, though my mind is content to interpret that data as if it isn't abstract. Do you actually picture things, or is my way of processing imagined images common?

could be your not a visual thinker. people think in different ways, some find it easy to think in pictures, others prefer to think in words. just depends on how your brain works really.

When someone asks me to 'picture this' I will use my imagination to think of the scenario put to me, not like a clear movie or story but a frame by frame thought as I am being spoken to. Quite clever really!
