I have sand/sediment in my pipes after a freeze. How do I get it out?

The sand/sediment is either "stuff" from the pipes, or underground one of my pipes is drawing in sand. I am hoping it is the "stuff" and not a pipe.

Assuming "stuff" any advice on cleaning my pipes out?

You can open the closes valve ( faucet) and let the water run through until the sand stops coming. use a clear glass to take a visual. If your glass of water has sand in it you need to flush more. You will need to clean the little strainer in the end of the faucet if there is one.

I don't know how sand would get into your pipes other than a hole in underground pipe and water flow is sucking sand in or your water supply is a well and it is low on water causing your well pump to suck sand.
