Socialism, a level playing field and redistributing the wealth.?
If you believe we should all be equal, does that mean that your drive and ambition may be putting others at a disadvantage?

Yes,,,Socialism or liberalism, seeks to level the playing field, by tearing down the achievers, taxing the rich, making people equal at the lowest level.
Now Conservatives seeks to advance people to the highest level they can obtain. Instead of hating the rich, try and be one of them.

Socialism is about punishing those who achieve in favor of those who do not. It mistakenly believes that people will work for the good of society simply for the good of society. This axiom has been proved incorrect time and again. The best systems are those which seek to elevate people while allowing unlimited opportunity and demanding personal responsibility. Socialism can never accomplish this because it places society over the individual. It staggers the human spirit because it seeks to remove the competition motive, desire to achieve and responsibility for self which are natural parts of the human condition. The only people who really believe that socialism can work are devout socialists. They delude themselves into believing that the concept fails not because it is flawed, but rather because it hasn't been applied properly. I can assure you without fear of being wrong that every socialist believes that if they were running things the world would be just fine.

well if u r a ceo and bailing with millions while your employees and shareholders are left with nothing.
many people did not like the idea of the minimum wage being raised but that levels the field a bit gas costs the same for everyone but some have to choose between auto insurance and healthy food for their family.
i remember when bush was contacted by a woman who was saying she has to work three jobs and was about to say she is still falling behind be he cut her off and said that's what makes america great so he could avoid the ?.
this woman had drive all right but she put nobody at a disadvantage, bush gave huge tax cuts to the rich and big business and oil and they have been crapping on us the whole time,
this is not about giving to slackers it is about everyone working hard and getting a higher quality of life, one man getting 10 mil. for filling a seat is ridiculous and someone making minimum wage paying half of their earnings for taxes state sales fed and health care before even rent that is equallyu rediculous.

the uncomplicated fact is that some people do no longer or can no longer artwork to end what others can. there are various examples of those with each and all the possibilities stacked against them who succeeded. it rather is mindless to argue that the government needs to take from me and supply to the fewer fortunate interior the call of fairness. Philanthropy is a huge element - foremost to rewarding people for undesirable judgements (chucking up the sponge of faculty, having babies you could no longer guard, making undesirable investments). i % my reasons and champion them - all and sundry might desire to try this. As for scams - why is it as much as creating yet another branch of government to deal with the subject? If those persons are so susceptible then their families might desire to be helping them make judgements. we would desire to return approximately a hundred years whilst people took care of one yet another. it rather is the inducement for preparation and extra effective determination making.

a complicated question Mr Duval a very complicated question.............
with this new system, there WILL be NO EXCUSES for the downtrodden not to come up....that being said...some economic theories have said that even if we were to divide the world's wealth and give each person an equal amount (each would get 8 million dollars) in about seven years from that time, there would be gross disparities, anyway....
that being said, it's very hard for me to succeed and not feel bad for the less ambitious.....I just feel like helping them anyway....you're right, but poverty sucks man. it really does. seeing people without rooms or living in dire straits. it's heartbreaking for me. obama represents a chance for some to improve their lives..
just my two cents...

Yes. I don't have much drive or ambition, and I feel at a disadvantage compared to others.

Governments have been "redistributing wealth" ever since governments have existed. It is called taxation. The government takes money and does stuff with it, that benefits various others. This is nothing new, and is not necessarily "socialism".

That eliminates the drive to advance in technology. It's like stopping evolution.

Considering the long history of government helping big business, perhaps yes.
