Is the government perpetuating lies propaganda of tracking Santa?
The news announced that the military is going to track Santa. Are they merely feeding the delusion of the general populous? How do you feel about this?
I wonder why the atheists aren't up and arms about this. It's promoting delusions of imaginary being and indoctrinating kids to believe something that is not real.

You obviously don't believe in Santa.
Killjoy. This is for the kids. The kids need some extra magic this year, because more of them are homeless, more have less money. Christmas will suck for them this year.
EDIT: :
Why atheists aren't up in arms. Because we know it is only fun and games. No one worships Santa.
Why aren't we up in arms about little girls and their unicorns?

Go back to Mount Crumpet, you big Grinch.
And btw, NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) has been "tracking" Santa since 1955! What made you wait until now to complain?
Merry Christmas!

It's a fun little game for the kids. It also helps the parents settle the young children. "See that! Santa's getting closer. Better get in bed and go to sleep!"
It's just fun.
Edit: Chaz, funny picture! That's not Sarah Palin, tho. It's my father-in-law. Ask my husband.

It's harmless fun. They have been doing that since the early 50's, just after the DEW line was established in Alaska.
IJR once told IJR's eight year old neice that IJR was going Reindeer hunting on CHristmas Eve and that they were going to have Reindeer meat for the Christmas feast. IJR wonders why she doesn't come around anymore?!?!?

No. Media is.
Media sells advertising.
Advertisers sell the gifts you buy.
When the pagan, atheist, and wiccan retailers close for Xmas, they all gather to sing "What a friend we have in Jesus."

Actually I think Bush believes in this Santa and wants revenge for his stocking full of coal.

It's just something fun for the kids. It all started with a mistaken call to NORAD.

I shot Santa down last year, so it would be hard for them to track him.
