15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is Kwanzaa and who actually still celebrate it?
Whenever you hear media people say holiday greetings, they'd usually say, "Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa." What is Kwanzaa and how many people actually celebrate it? Or is it another attempt for the media to sugar coat the politically correctness?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs the government perpetuating lies propaganda of tracking Santa?
The news announced that the military is going to track Santa. Are they merely feeding the delusion of the general populous? How do you feel about this?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas anyone read The Shack?
I just finished it. It was enlightening as well as questionable... I wonder how other people, Christians and non-Christians felt about the book.

does Dawkins seems brilliant scientist who's argument is strong when he talks of his experties and probabilities but when it comes to morality and picking Bibilical scriptures out of context, he is sorely lacking, subjective and weak on the subject of origin of beings and theology?
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheists like Dawkins, Hitchens and Harris claims that the mordern people should grow out of "religion"...?
Is this a new idea? Hasn't Nietzsche declare "God is Dead" and declaring we no longer need God to explain reality of the existential reality? Hasn't Matthew Arnold propose that literature and art be the guiding compass for the meaning of life? Haven't Marx and Engels emancipation working people from religion and oppression of the power? Hasn't Voltaire tell us that the reason is utmost authority that guides humanity? Hasn't Thomas Moore show us how to achieve Utopia? Haven't Plato and Socrates show us the guiding light of a society through The Republic?

14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians: Does it seem all the Atheists' questions repeat themselves after awhile?
It appears all the questions Atheists ask are practically the same based on 5 or 6 questions repeatedly asked over and over again with different twists.
30 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf there was a cure for homosexuality, would you part take in it?
I asked a question awhile ago about what causes homosexuality and one of the interesting answer I got was this:
"The current evidence strongly points to in utero developmental issue due to the mothers autoimmune reaction to male only proteins used for brain development."
If that is the primary theory of the cause of homosexual development, would you part take in a prevention of such anomaly from occurring during pregnancy?
36 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you had a choice of being born a male or a female, would you have choice the opposit sex?
This is not intended at all to state one sex is better than others. If you are about to make that statement, don't. I'm merely asking this question out of curiosity. Also, I'd like to hear what gay people from both sex thinks about this question.
Thank you.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn a strict Darwinian theory, shouldn't "gay" gene phase out?
If people are born gay and gay gene is that cause of it, shouldn't human evolution phase out the gay gene? I mean in a strict Darwinian theory, the genes that prohibits reproduction have been phased out or have become extinct.
For those who waffle between the genetic trait to a choice, if it's not genetics, is it a choice of a life style?

28 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat should I do about my son?
I've been taking my son on Trick-or-Treating for last 3 years. He is now 6 years old and I asked him what he wants to go as this year. My son loves to dress us and he especially loved Halloween. Each year we had such a good time going to Trick-or-Treating. To my utter surprise, he tells me he doesn't want to go Trick-or-Treating this year. I asked him, "why not?" he simply says, "Because God is more important and he wouldn't be happy."
I am bit concerned. Should he be starting to think this way already? Although we go to Church as a family, I have never imposed any of our beliefs on him. In fact, I've always insisted that he should focus on his school, his friends and family. I wanted him to make his own decisions about his faith, regardless of the path he chose.
Should I be concerned?

One of the factor that stalls the bail out plan is the disagreement of how much the plan should include compensations for these failed institutions' CEOs!
