If Nadal wins his fifth French Open, shouldn't he prepare himself to deliver his speech in French?

I think maybe he will probably speak a little bit more than he did this year. The RG crowds can be a bit harsh against non French speaking players, but Rafa made an effort to speak some French this year and he said he would try to speak more next year and the crowds were appreciative of the effort. He is doing very well with his english so I'm sure he can get better with French. But he probably won't deliver a full speech in French but I'm sure he will speak more than he did this year. Hey at least he made the effort, Rafa sounds cute in whatever language he speaks :D

IF he wins? IF? What do you mean IF? Barring injury or death, there is simply no one on this planet that can challenge Rafa at the French? Roger who?

Personally if I were Nadal, I would NOT prepare any speech in French. This crowd booed him in the past for no good reason, as the French Open crowds are apt to do. For that reason alone, they simply don't deserve the honor of having the greatest clay courter of all time address them in their precious language.

Last year he delivered a bit of French, and promised that the following year (this year) if he won, he would speak more French. The crowd absolutely loved the few words he spoke in 2008 and I know they are looking for more.....Yes... I believe he should and will. maybe not the entire speech but definetely more than 2008.....he's just getting better at everything and enjoying his moments....in tennis that's what they are "moments".

He's managed to get to grips with English, so French shouldn't be a problem, but taking into account the attitude of the French crowd at the Paris Tournament (not RG) who booed him for retiring I wouldn't blame him if didn't bother.

Why the 'if' ???, There's no if about it he will win.

He does not need to spend his time learning french. He can hire an enterprenter.

yes.. i really think so.. and i'm SO looking forward on hearing him speak french..

Besides, it will make him more popular and he'll gain more supporters and fans (not just french pipz) if he do so..
