HELP! My friend told me telekinesis can only move inanimate objects?

Since telekinesis does not exist, anything anyone says about it is false. Therefore, you can do whatever you like.

That's false. Telekinesis can move any object with the mind. Whether that object is another person or a book from a shelf.

No. If somebody would have telekinesis, and if it was strong they would be able to move people. The size of the object would only be limited to your control over the power.

Your friend is an idiot. Telekinesis is the ability to move things using the force of your mind instead of your body. That would include living things, too.

But it's your story, you can have your characters do whatever you want them to.

I think that if you have telekinetic powers, that they can move whatever they want, inanimate or animate, i think the biggest thing you would have to worry about is how much power they have to use. Inanimate and small objects take less power, and heavy and animate object must take more power, just my opinion.

But generally, it's used for the movement of all objects, not just inanimate ones.

Well it is YOUR story, YOUR characters can do what ever YOU want them to do....so no ppl with telekinesis can move anything and everything including people

Since telekinesis has not been proved, and can not be scientifically explained as of yet it is really up to the author to make the rules... just be clear about your definition of it and consistently follow the rules you make and you'll be fine...

oh- and according to wiki- under the umbrella terms, it does include self-levitation
