A Deep Physics Question OK?

This is a serious Q, wink, wink.

Is Friction a usual cause for "reaction" or the cessation of interaction?

Dallas

Update:

TY # 1. Did ya ever wonder why no apple was ever named after Newton?

Update 2:

"Astroglide" is that a brand name of some kind of lubricant?

Update 3:

OOO I love stick to it ivness.

Update 4:

Womb. Oh my, how does that relate to a physic?

Update 5:

Chris ya gotta hang around a private girls school play yard more often

Update 6:

Oh my Dr. Jeykll, please don't tan my Hyde. I think some get it and some don't but that's OK.

Update 7:

Um, ROD, is that how long it takes friction burns to heal?

Update 8:

Um thanks Maggie, Wake up, I think I got something to say to you.

Update 9:

Johnathan, did I do something wrong? Would that be accompanied by a paddling too? I'm just trying to pass a Science class.

Update 10:

St. Wali. I'll take your notion under advisement, but me thinks ye thinks too deeply.

Update 11:

Hey Mike, TY, Do I look "TOO" Blonde?

Didn't anyone see the Wink, wink? Yes it was a serious Question, but not strictly my Science homework, LOLOL

Lets practice some friction and see.

Based also on your additional comments I'll try and answer this question.

If you rub to things together that don't go together, it'll cause friction. No lubrication causes friction... I'm thinking engineering and mechanical parts here but somebody is gonna come up with a sex related answer sooner or later...

Apple named their organiser device "Newton" and it was a stinker! this proves not everything Apple does has the midas touch (ie turns to gold, like the ipod)

Rubbing your hands together causes friction, and heat (see above, still not funny) Enough friction will cause sparks and possibly ignite.

We don't currently believe it is possible to go back in time. Conservation of energy is one reason, but there might be ways around that technologically. Rather than destroying energy, you could just transform it in the present, and convert different energy in the past to reassemble yourself. Many laws of physics are time-invariant, which means that they can operate the same forward in time or backwards in time. Some laws, namely the second law of thermodynamics, is not time- invariant. Forward time travel is theoretically possible by travel at speeds close to the speed of light, via time dilation in special relativity. however, if you traveled a great distance away from earth, youcould not return without decelerating, and thus losing your inertial frame of reference. So, there are some flaws to this idea. One argument against time travel is that - if time travel is possible in the future, why haven't we seen any yet? Also, there are a number of issues with causality that result from time dilation. Consider the movie Primer for a fun look at this topic. I think it is free on youtube. :)

Friction is when two surfaces slide back and forth touching each other, usually making both VERY hot.

The 'reaction' is that both surfaces get hot from the 'interaction' of them being forced to slide across each other. When there is a lot of friction, and both parts become very hot, they usually seize (or come together).

  • If there is friction in a relationship then interaction disappears. In other words if you fight with your wife you ain't getting lucky. LOL You might have been asking about science but I wasn't in the mood for serious questions.

Now I remember why classical physicists all were philosophers!! No joke but physics was studied as part of philosophy in its earliet periods.Friction is not "a cause of reaction", it is a reaction itself as per the Third Law of Newton.

Friction can be caused by the interaction of two people if they rub each other the wrong or right way.

I find if friction is a problem then a good tongue lashing will normally get things going again

oh yes you could feel the measure of my ruler

The cessation may be the first indicator of a new system developing. We should know in Nine months, congratulations on your discovery! Hip! Hip!

    Depends on location

Friction would be the cause of the "reaction". It would be caused by the meat AND the motion.
