Create a playlist of the audio files that you wish to burn. Arrange the files in the exact order you would like them to be on the CD.
Under the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
In the window that pops up, click on the Advanced button and choose Burning.
For Preferred Speed, choose Maximum Possible.
Set the Disc Format to Audio CD.
For Gap Between Songs, select the number of seconds you would like between each track.
In the iTunes window, select the playlist you want to burn to the CD.Then click the Burn Disc button in the upper right hand corner.
hope this helps

There are two ways to save your music. One is MP3 format but there is another format that can be used. I can't recall the exact name, however, if you go to the help button and select burning cd you should be able to get help. I had the same problem and I changed from MP3 to the other option and I have no more problem burning or playing my CDs.
