To Roman Catholics, last night on KCBS news they were reporting on Christmas services and said I quote: ?

"Last night many Christians and Catholics went midnight services."

How does it feel when a major news station omits Catholics from the community of Christians? (This was a true into to the story)

Update:

were should be attended

Update 2:

To Jennifer: I was run my program through Tivo and went back to see it I had misheard. It was Christians and Catholics.

Well this isn't the first time the media said something that wasn't correct, but he/she probably referred to Protestants and Catholics.

Oh it gets worse. Copywriters and narrators have little understanding of grammar- just now on Discovery Health the narrator said "a more risky operation." As a veteran copywriter and editor this drives me up a wall.

Few mass comm majors concentrate on what matters most: language and clarity. Don Henley's "Dirty Laundry" didn't offend me at all. I feel it should be required listening and the subject of a paper before anyone is awarded a degree.

Catholic means world wide. So when we call ourselfs catholics we mean the world wide church of God. Christian is what we practice as faith. That is the teaching of Jesus Christ by way of the bible and tradition. We belong to the Catholic faiths way of teachings. We dont consider ourself better than anyone else. It just put in the faith proclamied by the Roman Catholic Church. So frankly we are both catholic and christian... there both the same in our way of thinking....

Someday all will know that Catholics are the alpha and the omega of Christians. No offense intended.

They should be used to it. Even they consider themselves Catholics before Christians.
