Someone stole my ipod. Anyway to find it?
I think Apple has a way to trace the Ipods if they're connected to the Internet, but they won't tell on the thieves. Has this changed? What should I do? report it stolen? It was taken out of my car by one of the valets at my work, but hard to tell who when there's like 20 of them.
Just one more question...is there any way I can get the police to fingerprint my glove box? I'm 99.9 percent sure it's the valet people since they're the only ones who had access to my car, so they only need to compare it to the valet, whose prints should probably be on file since it is a court parking lot, and they may have to be fingerprinted to work there. I know I had to be. I'd pay for the testing, within reason.
It's not the Ipod I want, I haven't even used it in a year....it's just extremely sentimental to me.

Report it stolen, and give them the serial number that belongs to the iPod (should be on the box you go it in)
a lot of times, once an ipod is gone, it's gone.

unfortunately, apple only allows refunds within the first thirty days of purchase and only if the product is unopened, so obviously you can't get a refund. honestly, if you called the police and told them your ipod was stolen, they would laugh at you. all you can do is tell people around you and hope it shows up. i know this sounds like it would never happen, but i got my north face jacket stolen a little while ago, and my friend found it and returned it to me. all you can do is hope, and maybe ask around. if push comes to shove, go to the apple store and sweet talk 'em.

Well theres a thing called gadgettrak and it allows you to find where the ipod is synced and you can report it to the police but i hate to break it to you its a little to late for that now im sorry your suppose to do it before it happens just look into that if you get a new one but i hope you find it good luck!

if you still have the box you can report that its stolen and give them your serial # on the box.

im sorry but theres nothing u can do about it i got mine stolen out of my bag der was no one i can actually report it to, or do anything about it, i dunno ,if u insure ur ipod and it gets stolen they can replace it or something but again i don't know if they do that.

report it stolen and if you have insurance, they may be able to replace it at little to no cost
