  • It's late and I m getting confused on "into" versus "in to."?

When you get INTO/IN TO the elevator to go up to the floor....

Did anything else factor INTO/IN TO your opinion on this case?

(I think it s "into" both times.)

  • Best places to drive to in Vancouver?

I have a car for only about nine hours in Vancouver. I know I can take the train to most of the places around the city, so I want to maximize the car by using it to get to the out of the way places with no public transportation. Where should I go with the car? Is it possible to get to Whistler, Shannon Falls and Capilano suspension bridge all in one day? are they on the way to each other?

  • Can you get around Vancouver without a car?

I am visiting and want to know if a car is a necessity. I'd like to see Capilano Bridge, Shannon Falls, whistler. I figure I can navigate within the city blocks okay, but these spots seem farther. thanks!

  • I am transcribing a tape and the officer sounds like he says I am from the LAPD gang slash (FEAR) unit.?

Fear is the word I can't figure out. I can't make out what he says or means. That's just what I think he's saying. If it helps any, this is for Los Angeles Police department, the area is Eighth and Alvarado near downtown Los Angeles, and the case is involving fraudulent documents.

  • Does the term "british response," refer to anything?

I heard this term in court, and I know they were not referring to anyone's country of origin, but rather meaning to say that one of the witness had unclear answers. Is this a common term?

  • Can someone help me plan my Vancouver trip itinerary?

I'm planning to go to Vancouver in the last week of April for four days. How much rain should I expect? I don't really know how to plan an itinerary, but there are several things I'd like to do: visit the rainforest, suspension bridge, Whistler or Grouse Mountain, shopping area, Granville. Can someone help me organize my days? I don't want to plan activities and have them be in completely different areas. I prefer to group it by location, so I can spend each day in a different part of Vancouver. Also if you have other places that you recommend I visit, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

  • Will bank tell me who used my card fraudulently?

My credit card was used fraudulently, and I have a good idea when and where. My bank investigated and returned my money, and this question may be moot tomorrow when I call, but I just want to know now. If there is a criminal case that arises, as it was a large sum of money, will they give me the information so I can go to the court proceedings? Or is this confidential and they won't give it to me?

  • Police term "BF&D" has to do with breaking in car or stolen items?

Hi, I am listening to tapes and a police officer says "they were the victims of the "BF&D." The situation is there was a broken into car and the suspect was found with stolen items out of the car. The thing is I don't know the term, if it's BF&D, BFMD, or something that sounds familiar. This is LAPD, by the way, if that helps.

  • Physical waivers for the armed forces?

My brother has hearing loss in one of his ears, possibly both, I'm not sure. However, he does not use any hearing aid, hears people fine, does not lip read, and holds normal conversations as far as I can tell. So I don't think the hearing thing is affecting him that badly. Is it possible for him to get a waiver into one of the branches? Which branch?

  • Can I have the police fingerprint something?

I had my Ipod stolen, which is a relatively minor item, and I'm pretty sure the LAPD will not come by to fingerprint. If I paid for the testing, would they do it? It has a lot of sentimental value, and I'd hate to lose it. I think one of the valets at work stole it, so there's not that many people to compare prints to.

  • Someone stole my ipod. Anyway to find it?

I think Apple has a way to trace the Ipods if they're connected to the Internet, but they won't tell on the thieves. Has this changed? What should I do? report it stolen? It was taken out of my car by one of the valets at my work, but hard to tell who when there's like 20 of them.

  • what does it mean when someone says "proved in the conjunctive"?

The sentence being referenced is an and/or statement. The part that says OR has been proven. The AND has not. So what is correct? to say that the statement has been proven in the conjunctive, or is it disjunctive?

It sounds confusing, so I'll give the full example.

The man was convicted of transporting and/or selling drugs.

He was found to be transporting, but not selling. Therefore, the "AND" did not apply, only the "OR." so was it proved in the conjunctive or disjunctive? Thanks, English majors or whoever can answer!!

  • Cannot get my invisaligners off. Help!!?

I just got a new set of invisaligners today, as well as my first attachments cemented on. Somehow, I forgot that little spade thing to help you get the invisaligners off. Now, they're stuck on, and I'm starving and going crazy. How can I get them off? I also broke my nail on my thumb this morning, making it hurt to put too much pressure on the bed of my thumb...making it impossible to exert enough force to get the aligners off. Any household item I can use?

  • 3200 square feet is how large?

Sounds stupid, but i've never been good with measurements. Can someone give me something 3200 square feet is comparable to? Is it comparable to, say, a normal sized shop in the mall, a huge mansion, or like maybe a costco sized warehouse? Trader Joe sized?

  • Calhfa interest rate. It's sort of high, isn't it?

Their website says they are offering a low interest rate, but it seems to be average to me, 7%, or is this good? I am a prospective buyer, and maybe I just don't know that this is a low rate. What's the rate at a non government program then??
