Best places to drive to in Vancouver?
I have a car for only about nine hours in Vancouver. I know I can take the train to most of the places around the city, so I want to maximize the car by using it to get to the out of the way places with no public transportation. Where should I go with the car? Is it possible to get to Whistler, Shannon Falls and Capilano suspension bridge all in one day? are they on the way to each other?

Yes, they are all more or less along the same route. It's about a 2 hour drive to Whistler from downtown, about an hour to Shannon Falls, if you don't hit bad traffic on the Lions Gate Bridge. Unless you pretty much want to drive to Whistler, have a coffee and turn around, I'd give it a miss and do Shannon Falls and Capilano Canyon instead. Capilano Canyon is accessible by transit, if you want to save that for another day and in that case, go to Whistler. Britannia Beach is worth a short stop. Sure, the Canyon is a tourist trap but cool anyway if you haven't been there before. Just ignore the tourist stuff and look at the natural surroundings.

you could drive to whistler(passing shannon falls on the way) but takes about a couple of hours one way, so if i was you i would skip it for a more relaxing day.
You could do shannon falls, capilano (or lynn canyon like ep1909 said - its free, less touristy so also less crowds) and also if you drive a bit up Cypress mountain theres a lookout spot with a great view. I think you can do that on the way back from shannon falls (check a map tho, im not 100%)
You could also go to deep cove too if you had time after the other stuff.
There is public transport to capilano tho, so if you only wanted to go places where theres no buses maybe skip it.
