Nausea that came back?

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and in the beginning of pregnancy had severe morning sickness. It eventually went away which was fantastic. Recently though, it has come back with a vengeance. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this, if it was normal, or a cause for concern. Thanks for your replies!

Update:

Oh I almost hope it's a bug and I don't have to deal with this for the rest of this pregnancy...lol.

It's actually pretty common for morning sickness to return in the 3rd trimester, which you're very close to. The 2nd trimester is really the easiest. I am 31-32 weeks and mine has returned. It sucks lol. Fortunately, mine isn't as bad as it was in the beginning, but yay, the acid reflux makes up for it lol. Good luck.

I had the same thing happen to me at 17 weeks, it was just for 3 days then it went away! I am now 26 weeks and enjoying my pregnancy!

I am really hoping that it don't come back!!

Good luck and hope you feel better!

Let's hope its a bug! Sometimes morning sickness can come back in the last trimester..thank you hormones. Sometimes it can be a symptom of something else going on - like pre-eclampsia. More than likely it's the hormones talking.

Sorry I'm not more help - and sorry you have to deal with this!

The same thing happened to me at 24 weeks. I thought my morning sickness was coming back but really I just was getting a bad case of the stomach flu. As far as morning sickness coming back though, i've heard of it happening so I wouldn't be concerned.

PS We have the exact same due date!!

  • i had some that went away and came back at 17 weeks with a vengeance as well. Mine was so bad I tore some vessels in my tummy and was vomiting blood. Dr put me on some meds to control my vomiting since I was producing ketones in my urine. Good Luck

**adding** forgot to say my dr told me it was from my body reacting to the babys hormones mixing with mine.
